Motorcycle Tours in France. AMT Terms & Conditions

The tour operator is Aquitaine Mototours (UK Company No 7613378) or AMT for purposes of these Terms and Conditions. Our Registered office is Silbury Court, 420 Silbury Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes MK9 2AF. By signing the booking form you agree to the following terms and conditions between AMT and yourself (customer). AMT do not accept bookings without a signed booking form. A reservation is complete when the customer submits a signed booking form and deposit.

AMT agents and guides are representing us, but are not a party to this contract, and are not responsible or liable for any failure to provide any service as may be described in our literature or pertaining to the contract.

Payment in full is required 6 weeks before the start of the tour. Each participant is required to sign a release and waiver form before the tour start. AMT cannot accept a participant without a signed release and waiver form.

A deposit equivalent to 20% of the tour price is required at the time of booking. This deposit secures a place on the tour. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to the tour start date. If the total balance is not received 6 weeks before the tour start date AMT reserves the right to cancel the reservation.

AMT provide motorcycles as part of the tour package. The pictures of the motorcycles in literature or on this website do not always represent the exact version of the motorcycle provided. Please email or call if you need specific information on exact motorcycle versions. AMT reserves the right to substitute a motorcycle confirmed to a participant, but will make every effort to contact the participant prior to any substitution. Most customers ride the motorcycle that is confirmed at the time of booking however events may occur (such as mechanical problems, damage or theft) which necessitate a substitution.

AMT is responsible for providing the services listed in the tour descriptions according to the local standards, however due to situations beyond its control (such as road works, hotel closures, or weather), AMT reserves the right, without prior notice, to withdraw part or all of a tour or to make such changes as may be necessary. AMT will make every effort to minimise the impact of such changes however any extra cost resulting from such change will be borne by the customer. AMT, its Operators and Agents are not responsible for the customers safety and will not be held liable for any occurrence in connection with the tour which might result in injury, death or other damage to the participant, his property or family. AMT is not responsible for any damage caused to third parties due to the participant’s activities during the tour.

Motorcycles

A security deposit of £500 is payable to AMT at the beginning of the tour or motorcycle rental period. The deposit will be held until the motorcycle is returned undamaged and in an acceptable condition. The deposit will be refunded at that time. All motorcycles have Third Party liability insurance and Comprehensive vehicle insurance. The rental period is not interrupted due to damage to the motorcycle or the inability of the customer to ride the motorcycle. During the rental period AMT is not obligated to replace a damaged motorcycle.

If a customer provides his own motorcycle, no tour insurance will be provided by AMT.

If a customer rents a motorcycle from AMT without a corresponding guided or self-guide tour, the rental reservation becomes final after a £150 non-refundable deposit is received. If a participant fails to send a reservation deposit AMT reserve the right to cancel the reservation. Modification of an existing rental reservation can be made free of charge if applied at least 21 days before the commencement of the rental, otherwise a surcharge may apply.

Cancellation

In case of a customer cancelling his/her booking after confirmation AMT reserves the right to withhold the deposit/tour charge in part for costs incurred. Cancellation fees are as follows:

Number of days prior to departure                                                 Cancellation fee per person

More than 60 days                                                                              £150

60 – 30 days                                                                                          50% of tour price

29 – 15 days                                                                                          75% of tour price

Less than 15 days before departure                                                No refund

No exception to this policy can be made for any reason. AMT recommend customers take out trip cancellation insurance.

In the event AMT cancel the tour due to lack of participation, the customer will be notified as soon as possible. AMT will offer to operate the tour if all customers agree to a supplemental charge due to the low number of tour members. If customers do not accept payment of a suitable supplement, AMT will offer a self-guide tour at current self-guided tour prices to participants. If participants do not agree to pay the supplement or take a self-guide tour AMT will refund all deposit and payments in full, which will constitute final settlement between AMT and the customer. AMT is not liable for any additional costs or losses incurred by the participant due to cancellation of the tour as a result of insufficient customers. This includes, but is not limited to, the cost of pre-paid airline tickets, hotel reservations and automobile rentals incurred by the customer. Situations beyond our control may arise which make it necessary for us to reschedule or cancel a tour, change itineraries or make substitutions regarding hotels, cities, guides and other travel arrangements. AMT do not accept liability for any resulting loss, expense or inconvenience to the customer caused by such changes. AMT is not required to make refunds once the tour commences, regardless of the reason for the participant’s inability to complete a tour.
